Program Management & Integration

At NHA, we combine program knowledge with technical expertise in program and project management, software development life cycle support, and change management to help our customers manage complex programs.  We work with multiple stakeholders to integrate program functions – often performed by different responsible parties –  to promote seamlessness and efficiency to accomplish common program goals.  NHA has built a reputation for problem solving and recommending program and process improvements.

Program Management

NHA has excelled at helping our clients cohesively manage the individual projects, contractors, and systems that interconnect to achieve program goals.  We start by understanding the whole picture and work with our clients to put each piece of the puzzle together to form that picture.  Management plans, risk management programs, document management systems, integrated schedules, and communications all from a program-wide perspective are just some of the tools and techniques NHA provides.  Subject matter expertise permeates all our work.

Change and Release Management

NHA’s change and release management specialists will control and optimize your system development lifecycle, including new development, maintenance, and major system revisions.  We support multiple development methodologies (agile, waterfall, DevOps, etc.) and development platforms (mainframe, mid-tier, application, web, etc.).  Our team provides oversight of the development, testing, and implementation of overlapping major, minor, and off-cycle software releases, and special initiatives of all sizes.  NHA currently provides change and release management services for the very large Medicare Coordination of Benefits & Recovery program that involves multiple stakeholder entities, two large and complex systems, and well over a dozen applications and user interfaces on multiple platforms.  This includes tracking and reviewing change requests as well as leading the Change Control Board to prioritize requests and schedule implementation of changes for each of these systems, applications, and interfaces.

Project Management

Our Project Management Office (PMO) services employ robust, yet practical, standards and processes focused on achieving project goals and producing quality work products.  NHA fosters the concept that our PMO team members must understand the nature and objectives of the project, as well as Project Management principles and processes.  NHA supports all phases of Project Management by:

  1. Creating and maintaining project management plans, including detailed, Coherent, and up-to-date project schedules;
  2. Identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks;
  3. Identifying, tracking, and resolving project issues;
  4. Supporting preparation and delivery of project work products; and,
  5. Providing guidance to project teams. 

Our services and methods are continually refined by implementing lessons learned.  NHA has often been called upon to lead special projects and to manage transitions of work from one contractor to another.
